With more people having the leisure time and the money to travel, the tourism industry is full of career opportunities. Travel professionals must be detail orientated, articulate, service-oriented, and knowledgeable about airlines, hotels and destinations.

Which high school courses are recommended for someone interested in a career in the travel/tourism field? Well, courses in accounting, business, marketing, computer science, geography, English, and foreign language would provide a great background for someone interested in a travel/tourism career.
