NEWSPAPER ACTIVITIES
1. Look through photos and ads in The News-Journal for things you like to eat for breakfast. With friends, made a list of common breakfast foods and conduct a survey of students in your school to find out which are the most popular. Make a graph or chart to show the results and share your findings with your class. (HE.b.2.2.4)
2. Find and read an article in The News-Journal about someone escaping from a dangerous situation. Then write a story or song about something dangerous that happened to you, a family member or a friend. Send it to nie@nieworld.com for possible publication on the Web. (HE.C.2.2.1)
