The African-American Museum of the Arts: Located in historic DeLand, the seat of Volusia County government, the African-American Museum of the Arts is a unique and vital resource. It is the only museum in the area devoted primarily to African-American and Caribbean American cultures and art. The Morikami Museum: With its tranquil pine forests, Morikami Park is a well-loved landmark in Delray Beach, Florida. The park includes the only museum in the United States dedicated exclusively to the living culture of Japan. It also offers Japanese style gardens, nature trails, sparkling lakes and ponds teeming with colorful carp and turtles, cascading waterfalls, shaded picnic pavilions and a rare bonsai collection of miniature trees. The Museum of the Everglades is located in Everglades City, Florida. A showcase for the history of the Everglades region, the Museum presents the story of 2,000 years of human habitation with artifacts and historical photographs. Educational programs, lectures and events are presented throughout the year. The Museum of Arts and Sciences: The Museum of Arts and Sciences features the Center for Florida History along with multicultural exhibitions, including one of the most extensive collections of modern Cuban art found in the United States. The museum is a showcase of Latin American art for residents of, and visitors to, the city of Miami.
