Who-or what-were the "Triple Nickles?"

Before the Trackers learned who or what the "Triple Nickles" were, they brainstormed some possible answers-and one of them guessed it! Take a look at what they came up with, and see if you can figure out which Tracker guessed the right answer.

Lauren thought that "Triple Nickles" might refer to an exhibit at the Museum of Florida History in Tallahassee. The museum display focused upon the importance of preserving Florida history, and included three World War II-era nickels.

Ethan believed that a group of African-American parachutists who served in World War II between 1944 and 1947, in the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion, were known as the "Triple Nickles."

Ally proposed that "Triple Nickles" was the name of the town Victory Garden located in historic DeLand. It was given that name because of a set of nickel-plated water pumps used to water the garden.

Zack wondered if the "Triple Nickles" were United Services Organizations (USO) performers who provided entertainment to raise the morale of the troops stationed at home and overseas.

Now, follow the link to learn the real answer! Then, write it in your Florida Quest book.
