Write a Letter to the Editor
Letters should tell why it is important to wear helmets while riding motorcycles. Before writing the letter, make a list of the safety benefits of helmets.
In addition, brainstorm a list of vivid words that might persuade others to wear helmets when they ride motorcycles. Make their letters as persuasive as possible.
Read letters from newspapers, and then discuss which are the most persuasive, and why.
