The students in my Applied English class at Atlantic High School have started a Newspaper Delivery Service. We have a business called "We Deliver".

As teachers at Atlantic began to sign up for Newspapers in Education, my students designed a flyer and sign-up sheet that they placed on top of the papers asking the teachers if they would like to have their newspapers delivered. Teachers responded and the students made a list that included the locations for delivery. Our office staff was delighted because the newspapers are not on the table as long in the morning.

We have a student work on a sign up sheet and the students receive participation points for their work.

This semester we expanded to deliver copy center packages, secret Santa gifts and other items as requested.

It has been an excellent experience for my students and they have demonstrated improved social skills.
