Here is a Target Date activity I did with my 8th grade History classes. I wrote to 19 papers from New York, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. requesting their September 11, 2002 newspaper. Each newspaper filled my request. I made up a worksheet for the students to complete with a partner. Then I had each group share something from their paper with the class. It was a super lesson and a great way to remember September 11th.
