Comic Crime ScenesMy students are learning about cells and DNA and then "solving" crimes using a crime notebook. As an extension of that activity, I took the Shylock Fox Detective comics and laminated them on cards. The students had to choose one "crime scene" comic and then "search" through it and "document" their clues in their crime notebook. They work in small teams to "solve" their particular "case." They then share their crime and their "evidence" with the class along with how they solved the case. Their solution to the crime was compared to the solution given with each Shylock Fox Detective comic strip. Pam Crowell 6th Grade Science Ormond Beach Middle School
