Bright Ideas Lesson Plans
Writing WebsSince there has been such an emphasis placed on writing in the past years especially when it comes to intermediate grades, we use the Monday edition for writing prompts. We cut out big, bright pictures of interest and glue them to the students writing notebooks. The students then write in all of the action words they see in the picture. After they have determined all of the action words, the students complete a writing web and then begin their writing prompt. We have the students imagine as if they took a picture in time and the picture was just a piece of their story. They must add a beginning and ending to what they see in the picture.
