Students working in teams put together an audio broadcast. They have a set list that tells them how many songs, stories, news, information, and advertisements they must have, but the students come up with the information from the newspaper. They must include information from every section of the newspaper. They have weather, national and local news, sports, advertisements, and any special interest story or additional information they want to add. The broadcast is taped and presented to the rest of the class to critique. I enjoy watching students read through a story, highlight the important information and summarize it for their broadcast.
