You are going to make a newspaper as a review for the stories from p. 10-51. You are required to use the computers in the computer lab because I will use your disks to set up the newspaper.

Now do the necessary paperwork.

All of you will write a friendly letter to your family or significant other. You are an English soldier saying goodbye to your family because you will not survive the Battle of Agincourt.

Now choose one of the following:

You will need a headline (Use all capital letters.) for each story.

1. Write a letter to the editor about the father of the "Children" defending the children´s actions. Also ask the father to reconsider his punishment of his children.

2. Draw a political cartoon about "Children." The cartoon must convey your opinion.

3. Write a letter to the editor about the three men in "Children" who were in a position of authority. Ask the authorities to amend a regulation governing the behavior of the children.

4. Write a newspaper article about the President of the National Council and his arrest for exposing himself.

5. Write a story about the newsagent entering an alcohol rehabilitation clinic.

Accuser Caught Red-Nosed

Krakow- February 24, 1998. Last month there was a feature story on some children in the courtyard building a snowman that offended citizens of this city.

One of those citizens was a newsagent named Jimmy Smith. He accused the children of making fun of his red nose, which was caused by a drinking problem. He said that it was from the cold weather. Just the other day Jimmy was spotted entering an alcohol rehabilitation clinic. He was questioned about it and he didn´t have anything to say about what he was doing there. There is evidence that he is enrolled and has been in there for two months.

President Caught With Pants Down

KRAKOW- The President of the National Council was arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior because he was running around his house with his boxers on. He was parading around kids he knew yesterday May 9, 1964. He was found not quilty of any charges against him and dropped and thrown away.

The British Win!

AGINCOURT -- Yesterday, October 25th King Harry, from England, won the battle against the French. He had a great strategy to battle in the swamps of Agincourt. Over 250,000 French soldiers were on horseback and only 50,000 British foot soldiers, making it hard for the French to move from place to place while dodging arrows. Leaving the battlefield there were 6,000 casualties for the French and only 100 casualties for the British.

News Agent Attends Alcohol Rehab Clinic

KRAKOW, POLAND: News agent, Lonnie Milne, who has told English News that his red nose is "from frostbite-not drinking" attended his first NAWRN meeting yesterday.

NAWRN, (NewsAgents With Red Noses) an organization that opened about 15 years ago, welcomed Milne into their clinic. Undercover news agent Ian Tidmarsh, said, "He told us all about his drinking problems and how he´d been drinking since he married his "Ole ball and chain", Senator Rebecca Milne, 5 years ago." After clinic owner Craig Swartz got to the roots of Mr. Milne´s problem, Tidmarsh said, "Milne laid on the floor crying, sucking his thumb, vowing to never drink again."

GRENDEL VS BEOUWULF
On Sunday February 22, 700 A.D.

Grendel and Beouwulf will square off in a titanic struggle. Grendel started off strong. He took the early advantage over Beouwulf, but Boeuwulf came back. He grabbed Grendel and pounded his face in to the ground. Then Grendel hit him with a massive head butt. But Beouwulf wouldn´t be denied. He fought back against great odds. He grabbed Grendel and gave him the stone cold stunner. He then picked Beouwulf up and gave him the jackknife powerbomb. Grendel could not continue. Beouwulf was declared the winner and world champion. Grendel was pronounced dead right after the match. Good won over evil once again. There still are more battles for Beouwulf to fight.

Winston´s: Winning Speech

LONDON - Yesterday May 13, 1940, Winston Churchill gave a great speech. He asked that the house should be summoned to meet today. Winston Churchill will form a new government. He said to those who joined the government, "I have nothing to offer, but blood, toil, tears, and sweat." His policy is to "wage war by sea, land, air, with all the might and strength God can give us." His policy and our aim can be summed up in one word, "Victory-victory-victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard it may be for without victory, there is no survival. Churchill is great with words; let that be realized. If government does not win there is no survival for the British Empire. As he said, "I take up my task with buoyancy and hope. Come then, let us go forward together with our united strength."
