Sampling Italian Foods

Objectives: (1) Students will locate and use the BILL OF FARE section of the newspaper to find Italian restaurants in their area. (2) Students will write a letter, using standard letter format, to one of the restaurants asking the restaurant to bring some sample dishes to their classroom for a project. (3) Students will write a compare and contrast list on how the Italian foods are both similar and different from ´American´ foods.

Materials: BILL OF FARE section of newspaper; Writing paper
