The mission of the International Children’s Digital Library is “to have every culture and language represented so that every child can know and appreciate the riches of children’s literature from the world community.” So far, they have placed hundreds of books online, and visitors can click on “Read Books” to check them out.  Visitors can also click on a range of thematic listings, such as “real animal characters,” “picture books,” and “kid characters.”
