The Holocaust

Holocaust is the name given to the period of persecution and extermination of European Jews by Nazi Germany. The period begins with Adolf Hitler´s rise to power in 1933 to the end of World War II in 1945. We´ve gathered resources from the online community for you to learn more about the Holocaust and the ongoing effects it has on the world today. 6 million Jews died as a result of Hitler´s action... but that isn´t the end of the story.


Hana lights one of six candles representing the memory of the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust for the Yom Hashoah Day of Remembrance. A seventh candle was lit representing the 5 million non-Jews killed.
