Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum The Franklin D. Roosevelt Library is the first of the presidential libraries. It was conceived and built under President Roosevelt´s direction during 1939-40 on 16 acres of land in Hyde Park, New York, donated by the President and his mother, Sara Delano Roosevelt. The library resulted from the President´s decision that a separate facility was needed to house the vast quantity of historical papers, books, and memorabilia he had accumulated during a lifetime of public service and private collecting.
Truman Presidential Museum and Library The Harry S. Truman Library, the first Presidential Library to be created under the provisions of the 1955 Presidential Libraries Act, was established to preserve the papers, books, and other historical materials relating to former President Harry S. Truman and to make them available to the people in a place suitable for exhibit and research.
The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library-Museum The museum is one of the eleven Presidential Libraries operated by the
National Archives and Records Administration.
Dwight D. Eisenhower Library The Eisenhower Presidential Center in Abilene, Kansas commemorates the spirit of the Allied Expeditionary Forces of World War II, as well as the administration of the 34th President of the United States.
John F. Kennedy Library and Museum Dedicated on October 20, 1979, the library is one of eleven Presidential Libraries administered by the National Archives and Records Administration a United States Government agency. The John F. Kennedy Library and Museum is dedicated to the memory of our nation´s thirty-fifth President and to all those who through the art of politics seek a new and better world.
Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library and Museum he Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in Austin, Texas, houses papers from LBJ´s political career. The Museum presents aspects from his life: Lady Bird Johnson, JFK assassination, the Civil Rights Act, and the Vietnam war.
Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum The Ford Library (in Ann Arbor, Michigan) and Museum (in Grand Rapids, Michigan) promote popular interest and scholarly research in U.S. history during the post-World War II era, especially the Ford presidency (1974-77).The Library collects and preserves the archival record, and aids public access. The Museum presents an ambitious program of exhibits and special events.
Jimmy Carter Library and Musuem The Jimmy Carter Library and Museum has photographs, documents, and displays of the Carter presidency and Jimmy Carter´s life.
